Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport (code CLJ) is the main international airport closest to Alba Iulia. It is located in Cluj Napoca, about 50 km north of Alba Iulia. page here. One can take a shuttle bus (minivan) from the airport to Alba Iulia. To check the schedule and book a ticket, visit the site https://www.autogari.ro and select as departure point "Cluj Napoca Aeroport". The trip takes about 1h:30min, and the price of a one-way ticket is 100 RON (about 19 EUR). Alternatively, one can also rent a car at the airport. Depending on traffic, it takes about 1h to drive from Cluj airport to Alba Iulia.

A smaller airport close to Alba Iulia is Sibiu International Airport (code SBZ). It is located 3km west of Sibiu and about 35km to Alba Iulia. One can then take a direct shuttle bus/minivan (about 1h) from Sibiu to Alba Iulia.
