This meeting aims to continue an old tradition of Romanian mathematical congresses and is largely open to international participation. The first congress of the Romanian mathematicians was organized as early as 1929 in Cluj, followed by Turnu Severin (1932), Bucharest (1945, 1956, and 2007), Braşov (2011), Iaşi (2015), Galaţi (2019), and Piteşti (2003 and 2023).

The Eleventh Congress will be held in Alba Iulia from July 2 to July 7, 2027, and is jointly organized by the Section of Mathematical Sciences of the Romanian Academy, the Romanian Mathematical Society, the Simion Stoilow Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy (IMAR), the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Bucharest, and the "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia.

A selection of the proceedings of the congress will be published.
