This meeting aims to continue an old tradition of Romanian mathematical congresses and is largely open to international participation. The first congress of the Romanian mathematicians was organized as early as 1929 in Cluj, followed by Turnu Severin (1932), Bucharest (1945, 1956, and 2007), Piteşti (2003), Braşov (2011), Iaşi (2015), and Galaţi (2019).

The Tenth Congress will be held in Piteşti from June 30 to July 5, 2023, and is jointly organized by the Section of Mathematical Sciences of the Romanian Academy, the Romanian Mathematical Society, the Simion Stoilow Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy (IMAR), the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Bucharest, and the University of Piteşti.

The congress will also host the first Balkan Mathematics Conference (BMC), a regional meeting launched by the European Mathematical Society.

A selection of the proceedings of the congress will be published.
