There are two groups working in the above mentioned field.

The first one is dealing mainly with mathematical modeling in solid mechanics and the second group deals with the mathematical modeling in fluid mechanics.

The team is working on the following topics:

    -capillary-gravity water waves

-phase nucleation and wave propagation in phase-transforming materials

-the motion of long boubles in capillary tubes

    -reaction-diffusion systems

-multilevel domain decomposition methods and applications to nonlinear problems

-numerical analysis of the Navier-Stokes/Darcy coupling

-variational inequalities and applications to frictional contact

-well posedness and asymptotic expansion of solution of Stokes equation

    -homogenization method and applications

There are two scientific seminars in which the two groups are joining their activity including professors from the University of Bucharest.
