  General Info: The workshop will take place at the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploieşti, Romania. The arrival day is Thursday, September 19th, and the departure is in the afternoon of Sunday, September 22th, 2013 (in the morning there are still lectures).
  
  Program: 50-minutes plenary lectures and 30-minutes talks. Poster communications are also envisaged.
  
  Participation fee: 50 Euro. The fee should be payed at the registration desk and it covers the conference materials and the refreshments, the Opening Cocktail Reception and the Farewell Dinner.

         The Opening Cocktail Reception - September 19th, 19:30 hours, at the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploieşti (39 Bucureşti Blv.), AP10 Room.

         Visit at Nicolae Simache Clock Museum - September 21th, 15:00 hours.

         The Farewell Dinner - September 21th, 18:30 hours, at the University Restaurant (39 Bucureşti Blv.).

Accommodation in Ploiesti:

Hotel Central*** (Special offers: single room - 135 EUR for lodging with Breakfast included; double room - 165 EUR for lodging with Breakfast included). The hotel can also offer transfers from/to the airport (the price for one journey is 30 EUR). The address of the Hotel is Republicii Bd., no. 1. The hotel is situated in the City Center.

University Guest House (100 EUR for meals and lodging) The address of the University Guest House where most of participants decided to book a room is 39, Bucureşti Blv. The hotel is very close to the building where the workshop will take place.

Remark: The prices above cover the entire period of the workshop.


Travel Information: The Romanian currency is LEI. Aproximate exchange rate: 1 EUR = 4.35 LEI. We recommend not to change a big ammount of money in the airport, as better exchange rates are available in the city. The workshop will be held at Petroleum-Gas University of Ploieşti (39 Bucureşti Blv., Ploieşti, Romania). Ploieşti is located 60 km north from Bucharest. The participants arriving at Bucharest-Otopeni International Airport must take the 780 Express bus (the bus station is in front of the Arrivals Terminal) which connects the airport with Gara de Nord, the main railway station of Bucharest. Depending on traffic, this journey takes about 30 minutes. The Gara de Nord station is the seventh stop. The price for one trip is 3.5 lei. The bus runs about every 40 minutes (including weekends and holidays), from 5.30AM to 11PM. From Gara de Nord it is necessary to take a train to Ploieşti- Gara de Sud (South Railway Station - Ploieşti) or Ploieşti - Gara de Vest (West Railway Station - Ploieşti). The trains from Bucharest to Ploieşti run about every 50 minutes (including weekends and holidays) and arrive in Ploieşti after 45 minutes. The price for one trip is about 18 lei.

Transport to the workshop venue (in Ploieşti):

         By bus: 30 - from Gara de Sud (South Railway Station) heading to Hipodrom. Descend at the third stop (which is the University stop, called UPG). The bus station is in front of the railway station.

         By bus: 2 - from Gara de Vest (West Railway Station) to Gara de Sud (South Railway Station). The bus station is very close to the West Railway Station. Gara de Sud is the final stop. Then follow the indications given above.

         By bus: 30 - from the City Centre, heading to Hipodrom. The bus station is close to the Central Hotel, in front of the post office. Descend at the sixth stop (The university station).

The bus tickets can be bought from the bus stations and the price for a journey is 1.6 lei.

         By taxi: The price of a taxi from the City Centre or the West Railway Station to the workshop venue is about 10 lei, while from the South Railway Station to the workshop venue is about 4 lei.
